Ice Yacht and Sand Yacht Sailing in the UK

This site is dedicated to our sport of ice sailing and sand sailing. Here, visitors can learn more about this exciting sailing sport,  keep abreast of latest news and events, discuss ice sailing matters in our forum and generally learn more about what the sport entails.

I am a member of the British Ice Yacht racing team. Here in Lincolnshire where I live, it is not cold enough for ice sailing; also any ice there is is unsafe or covered by too much snow.  It is the same In the UK generally, we are not fortunate enough to enjoy enough safe ice. 

 Any decent areas are in the fens but ice skaters use the flooded fens. For example, please look here (page down a little for the menu).

K11 (my yacht) have been competing in the World Championships in America , January 2011,  The European DN Ice Yacht Championships in Estonia, February 2011, the World and Europeans in Sweden January 2012 and now the Asia Cup.  Please bookmark this site and  register.
